400 km on paramotor for 3,000 euros! Αγώνας Παραμοτέρ στη Ισπανία..

“Desafío Guadalquivir 400” is a long distance paramotor race that will take place on the 28th of January with an attractive first prize. The challenge for the pilots will be to fly from Beas de Segura in Jaen (Andalusia, Spain) to Sanlucar de Barrameda, Cadiz, and do it faster than the rest. The route includes obligatory turnpoints as well as prohibited areas to avoid.
The sport club ‘Cordoba Vuela’ organizes this interesting race that will take place a day before the opening of the annual paramotor meeting of Las Candelas, where the prizes will be given on Saturday 29.
The participating pilots will be allowed to take off with all the fuel they might need or land for refueling; they can use GPS for navigation and each team will be free to choose a strategy. The organizers expect the flights to last between 5 and 10 hours.

The task will have a unique prize of 3000 Euros for the first foot-launched paramotor to arrive at Sanlucar de Barrameda. Paratrike pilots can participate but they will only aim for trophies. More than 25 pilots are already registered so far, which seems to show the success of this format of competition and/or its prize.
Registration fee is 50€ and the organization will provide retrieve vehicles for those who don’t make it to the finish line.
