Super Paragliding Testival 2010

 Παραθέτω αυτό το άρθρο από το cross country magazine όχι μόνο γιατί είναι ένα τεράστιο και συγχρόνως καταπληκτικό και χρήσιμο event.
Το παραθέτω κυρίως γιατί στην Ελλάδα δεν υπάρχει τίποτα αντίστοιχο που έστω λίγο να το πλησιάζει.
Στο μυαλό μου έρχεται αυτή η συνενόηση που προασπαθούν να κάνουν μεταξύ τους οι εκπαιδευτές στην χώρα μας αυτή την εποχή και η γενικότερη προσπάθεια για την οργάνωσή τους σε έναν σύλλογο.
Αν καταφέρουν να οργανωθούν και αφού στην Ελλάδα οι εκπαιδευτές είναι κυρίως και οι αντιπρόσωποι των εταιριών του χώρου, τότε γιατί να μην διοργανωθεί και κάτι σαν αυτό, με τα προιόντα των εταιρειών σε έκθεση και για δοκιμή.
Νομίζω θα ενδιέφερε πολλούς που τώρα ψωνίζουν στα τυφλά και θα άξιζε να ταξιδέψει κάποιος από πολύ μακριά για να δει και να συγκρίνει από κοντά...
Ωχ τώρα θυμήθηκα ότι είδα μια έκκληση του Σταύρου στο φόρουμ πριν λίγες ημέρες για να ενσωματωθούν και οι υπόλοιποι εκπαιδευτές στη συζήτηση που έχει ήδη ξεκινήσει..
Για να δούμε τελικά τι θα γίνει.
Ελπίζω να μπορέσει να βγει κάτι θετικό, γιατί είναι πολύ εύκολο φαίνεται στα λόγια μόνο να θέλουμε να πάρουμε κάτι από Ευρώπη..

Following last year’s successful paragliding equipment testing event, a second Super Paragliding Testival will be held in Kössen, Austria, from May 13 – 16 2010.
‘Fly Kössen’ director Sepp Himberger and his team – in close cooperation with PMA (Paragliding Manufacturer Association) and with several large, local sponsors – hope it will eventually become one of the biggest and most important air sports events in the world.
Laat year 2,000 visiting pilots tested the gliders and equipment of 20 top market brands who were on site. 5,600 flights were enjoyed over the four days without any accidents.
Organisers say they have purposely avoided organising any airshows, preferring to allow pilots all the airspace and maximum time for testing gliders. However, “a ‘Paragliding Fashion Show’ will demonstrate the different trends in clothing; a vibrant SPT Party sponsored by AXA Insurance with the Cuban grooves of ‘A Buena Vista’ will scorch the social get-together and food and drinks will be offered till late at the famous ‘Fliegerbar’”.

Event Concept:
The members of the PMA provide their products free of costs to pilots for test flying. Instead of having several individual, time and money consuming test camps spread all over the world, all manufacturers offer their products at the beginning of the European flying season central in Europe in Kössen with its ideal infrastructure. For pilots keen to test several brands and to compare on site, this creates cheaper and timesaving possibilities to do so.
For this purpose the flying site in Kössen is ideal:

• The flying site has a perfect infrastructure
• The flying school Kössen GmbH can guarantee an ideal neutral stage for all participating brands to present their products equally
• The north facing mountain slope is known for a soft convergence and mild thermals
• It is also known as a most popular and safe flying site
• It has a large landing field (3 ha) with a "Fliegerbar"
• It is probably the flying site with the most flyable days per year in the Northern Alps and with the probaly highest flying frequency in the world (5.600 safe flights during SPT 2009)
• 4 days seem to be a long enough period to allow all pilots to intensively test all products they want to test.
