Ozone Firefly !!! Smooth, Stable, Fun!

First flight on the Firefly. Wind was 11-15 knots on top of launch. Very nice wing to fly.

2011 World Paragliding Championship in Piedrahita, Spain.

Ένα εξαιρετικό βιντεάκι από την Piedrahita στην Ισπανία όπου έγινε το Παγκόσμιο Πρωτάθλημα του Αλεξιπτώτου Πλαγιάς.
Στα πολύ ενδιαφέροντα σημεία του βίντεο, η πτήση και τα ωραία πλάνα του Brett Hazlett με το R11 2liner της Ozone από πάνω του και ο χειρισμός του και με τους δύο τρόπους - με τα φρένα αλλά και με τους B ιμάντες όπως προτείνουν οι κατασκευαστές -, αλλά και τα εξαιρετικά πλάνα από τη χρήση του νέου συστήματος Anti-G της Ozone για μειωμένα G κατά τη διάρκεια γρήγορης καθόδου με σπιράλ.

Ozone’s Rush 3 has been certified EN B. Ozone say it is a paraglider for pilots who need maximum performance in the EN B class.
Its low-drag line plan, modified tab positioning and leading edge reinforcements hail from the Delta and R10. Ozone claim the performance of this wing is up there with category C gliders, but it has the security and peace of mind of EN B certification.
The medium size has passed certification, and other sizes will follow shortly.

Το Σ/Κ έγινε το σεμινάριο στο Καλέντζι με τους Ιταλούς Luca Donini και Alberto Castagna. Όταν μου πρότειναν ο Χρήστος και ο Ντομένικο να διοργανώσουμε αυτό το σεμινάριο φυσικά και μου άρεσε η ιδέα να το κάνουμε και συμφώνησα, αλλά ήταν για μένα κάπως σαν "ραντεβού στα τυφλά" αφού δεν γνώριζα τους Ιταλούς και δεν είχα επικοινωνήσει καθόλου προσωπικά μαζί τους.

Είχα ασχοληθεί με τα διοργανωτικά και είχα απορροφηθεί τόσο που εκ των υστέρων συνειδητοποίησα ότι δεν είχα  καθόλου συγκεκριμένες προσδοκίες σαν συμμετέχουσα.Κάθισα λοιπόν και άκουσα...
είδα, σκέφτηκα, αισθάνθηκα.Έζησα την εμπειρία και τώρα που αυτή τελείωσε, λέω ότι είμαι τυχερή. Γιατί πολλές προσδοκίες μου δημιουργήθηκαν έτσι ώστε ότι αυτή η συνάντηση μπορεί να γίνει μια αρχή!

R10 Orders Temporarily Suspended.. due to increasing production demands for Deltas

In the past 4 months we have sold an unexpectedly high number of Mantra R10s, and the demand is still great. However, this high performance wing is extremely complicated to build and it has taken a significant part of our factory’s capacity to cope with the amount of orders.
With the arrival of the Delta, demand has again increased a great deal and to help keep up with the orders for this new wing, we have decided to temporarily suspend manufacture of the R10. We wanted to release the Delta much earlier than we did, and because we now want to fill the current Delta orders as fast as possible we will be devoting more of our factory’s capacity to the production of this new wing.
We’d like to thank all pilots who have ordered a Delta for their patience until now, and we will be keeping our distributors around the world informed with the latest production dates as they change and (hopefully) improve. We hope to have the R10 available again within a couple of months as we bring online more production capacity.

OZONE MANTRA R-10.3 (90-100)

O γνωστός  Ziad Bassil του ιστολογίου Dust of the univerce πέταξε με το νέο Mantra R-10 της Ozone και μεταφέρει τις εντυπώσεις του.. 

 

When the BBHPP came first into the worlds, every pilot was dreaming of flying something like that. It was a clever move for the OZONE team to introduce to the market the R-10 series based on the BBHPP. Some pilots wanted this glider to win comps, and some for the taste of flying one of the best performance glider available in 2010 with the latest technologies and optimum drag reduction.

The Mantra R-10 came with a different glider box. One that is rectangular, for the plastic inserts to fit inside without being torn.Opening the glider and spreading it on the ground is a show to watch. Beside being very thin and long, the beautiful finish of the glider and risers to the last detail, is exceptional.
