Espen Fadnes has always dreamt of flying under the bridge of the Aiguille du Midi, 3,842 meters above Chamonix. Can he and his team pull it off without a hitch?

In this episode, the three BASE jumpers Jokke Sommer, Espen Fadnes and Ludovic Woerth head to Chamonix, France where they will attempt a world first - a dangerous wingsuit fly-through under the bridge on top of the breathtaking Aiguille du Midi.

Just when you thought proximity flying couldn't get any crazier... Brian Drake (shown) and two other wingsuit pilots Ellen Brennan and Ludovic Woerth gathered at the top of the famous ENSA Couloir to fly down the tight gully. This is what happened when wingsuit pilot Brian exited.

 Here is a picture of a training jump the day before the stunt. I just got out close and flew over to get a better view 

 Παρακολουθώντας τον Jeb Corliss -τον άνθρωπο με τα φτερά-, να πετάει με 100 μίλια/ώρα μέσα σε μια χαράδρα μήκους 900 ποδιών και φάρδους 10 ποδιών, με ένα άλμα που ονομάστηκε "The Flying Dagger"  "Ιπτάμενο Στιλέτο"!
 
Το εκπληκτικό αυτό άλμα, καταγράφηκε από κάμερα όταν ο 37χρονος Jeb Corliss πήδηξε από ελικόπτερο και γλιστρώντας κυριολεκτικά μέσα απ' την χαράδρα του βουνού Langshan της επαρχίας Zhejiang στην Κίνα, έπιασε τα 100 μίλια/ώρα!

Όπως ο ίδιος αργότερα θα πει στους δημοσιογράφους, "Αυτό είναι το μεγαλύτερο πράγμα που έχω κάνει ποτέ μέχρι τώρα. Είμαι τόσο χαρούμενος που το κατάφερα! Στην αρχή ανησυχούσα πως δεν θα μπορούσε να γίνει...δεν είχα την παραμικρή ιδέα. Η Κινεζική Κυβέρνηση και οι Κινέζοι γενικότερα, με αντιμετώπισαν με τον καλύτερο τρόπο και γι΄αυτό δεν ήθελα ν' απογοητεύσω κανέναν. Είμαι πολύ χαρούμενος που ήμουν σε θέση να το κάνω, επειδή ήταν τόσο δύσκολο...πραγματικά, αυτό ήταν το πιο δύσκολο πράγμα που έχω κάνει ποτέ”!

Ο Jeb έχει πραγματοποιήσει “πτήσεις” πηδώντας από μερικά απ' τα πιο διάσημα αξιοθέατα του κόσμου, συμπεριλαμβανομένης του Golden Gate Bridge στο San Francisco, του Πύργου του Άιφελ στο Παρίσι και των Angel Falls στην Βενεζουέλα, καθώς ξεκίνησε το skydive στην ηλικία των 18 ετών!

Ο αυτοαποκαλούμενος “Άνθρωπος Πουλί” ξεγέλασε τον θάνατο τον Ιανουάριο του 2012, όταν μετά από ένα κόλπο που δοκίμασε, έπεσε πάνω σε μια προεξοχή του βουνού Table της Νότιας Αφρικής με 120 μίλια/ώρα σπάζοντας μόνο τα δύο του πόδια.

Ο άνθρωπος της αδρεναλίνης όμως αργότερα, κυκλοφόρησε ένα βίντεο από την στιγμή που κατρακυλούσε κατακόρυφα από ύψος 200 ποδιών, παρά το γεγονός ότι προσπαθούσε ν' ανοίξει το αλεξίπτωτο έκτακτης ανάγκης και πριν συντριβεί στην επικλινή πλευρά του βουνού που ονομάζεται Africa Face!

Εντάξει λοιπόν, πείτε ότι πετάξατε ψηλά, πολύ ψηλά, περάσατε σχεδόν τη βάση των νεφών και κάνατε ένα όμορφο top landing σε εκείνη την απόκρημνη κορυφή των ονείρων σας...
Τί κάνετε μετά...???
Πάντως για να κάνετε αυτό που έκανε ο εν λόγω τύπος πρέπει να έχετε και μία φόρμα wingsuit μαζί... Καλή διασκέδαση!!!!

BASE jumping from Mt Everest 7,220m!

The Russian extreme sports star makes the highest ever BASE jump after leaping from 7,220m.

It is exactly 60 years since Edmund Hillary and Tensing Norgay made the first ascent of Mt Everest. Since then, the world's highest mountain has attracted some of the world's most extreme athletes who have skied, snow-boarded and paraglided off the mountain. But no one has ever BASE-jumped — until now.
In early May the Russian extreme sports star Valery Rozov, 48, leapt from an altitude of 7,220m off the north side of the mountain to make the world's highest BASE jump.
